Site for sale

Site is for sale.

The former Bunnings site in Cambridge is on the market. The 2616 sq m building on a 6851 sq m site is on the corner of Lake and Queen Sts and was to have been a car yard for Ingham Motors. Dealer principal John Ingham told The News earlier this year he had spent $37,000 securing building consents for the freehold section and two leasehold portions but had paused development because the economy was not strong enough. Ingham Motors, which began in 1986 and now operates multiple dealerships across the upper North Island, purchased Windsor Nissan in Cambridge last year.

The expressway will track north of the existing State Highway One from Cambridge and join up with the just-completed Piarere roundabout which links highways 1 and 29. The four-lane project is expected to be completed by 2033.
