Riding the Raceway

First onto the track were, from left, Jorja 8 and Brax Legg, 11, and Joshua Stapel, 11.

Proving age is no barrier to having fun, dozens of cycling seniors and their younger supporters enjoyed Tuesday’s ‘Ride the Raceway’ in Cambridge to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons.

The event at Cambridge Raceway is part of Waipā District Libraries’ Get Active campaign which runs through to December.  Around 70 riders who attended were able to use standard or e-bikes to ride around the track as many times as they wanted to for 30 minutes.
