Going potty

It’s from the believe or not files – an Anko saucepan from Kmart won the race to be the Consumer Institute’s Top of the Pots.

Consumer delivered the news last week, leaving owners of the more highly rated Scan Pans and the confusingly names Essteelle wondering – particularly since it cost $24 for the Anko and more than 10 times that for an Essteelle.

Consumer says it’s not unusual for cheaper products to upset the odds in their surveys.

So it got us thinking – can we put together a list bargain buys among The News readers?

What have you bought for a fraction of the cost of the alleged “best” on the market which has won you over?
