New billboards to attract visitors

The boards feature images by Cambridge photographer Meghan Maloney.

Two new billboards were erected on the Waikato Expressway this week to encourage drivers to pull off and call into Cambridge.

Developed under guidelines put in place by the NZ Transport Agency, the billboards each feature a unique image, one depicting rowers at Lake Kārapiro and the other showing the historical St Andrew’s Church.

One was placed to attract traffic travelling south before the Cambridge / Avantidrome off-ramp, and the other placed before the Victoria Rd exit to Cambridge for those travelling north.

The images were taken by Cambridge photographer Meghan Maloney, who also captured the photographs on the other Waipa Home of Champions billboards around the district.
