The opening of a new pedestrian/cycle bridge in Leamington’s Te Awa Rise subdivision was the most read post on the Cambridge News website last month.
But readers fed back their confusion via our social media channels about its location given there is the Te Awa Lifecare rest home on the other side of the Waikato River between The Velodrome and the St Andrew’s roundabout.
Closure of the Arapuni dam road came in second followed by our News in Brief which featured the online announcement of Goodwood School’s victory in the Excellence in Educational Leadership awards. King’s Birthday Honours to Tamahere paediatric surgeon Udaya Samarakkody and Waikato University chancellor Susan Hassall of Cambridge rounded out the top five which saw website visits up 21 per cent on the previous month and the best for the year.
The website’s home page and e-Editions continue to rank as the most visited with Thursday the busiest day.
